The major was established and enrolled students in 2010. There are 12 teachers of professional courses, including 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 4 double capability trainers, and 10 of them have PhD degree. This major was evaluated as excellent level of geological engineering major from Anhui Province.

Employment prospect:
The graduates are mainly engaged in various site geological evaluation, engineering geological construction and other construction and management work, as well as teaching, research and management of similar majors in universities and research institutes. After graduation, students can also continue to study for geotechnical engineering, geological engineering and other professional direction.
