From May 25th to 28th, our ten international students from Morocco, Mongolia, Indonesia, and Zimbabwe participated in the 11th Anhui Province Foreign Student Cultural Learning Activity. The theme of this event was Huishan, Huishui, and Huizhou Culture, organized by the Anhui Province Foreign Student Education Management Association. A total of 178 foreign students from 18 universities in the Anhui province participated.
During the four-day cultural learning activity, the international students walked on the land of Huizhou and experienced Huizhou culture. Through their exploration, they broadened their horizons and deepened their understanding of Huizhou culture. On the evening of May 27th, the closing ceremony of the 11th Anhui Province Foreign Student Cultural Learning Activity was held at the Huishang Guli Hotel. Leaders from the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office attended the closing ceremony and presented the students with certificates of completion.
Organizing cultural learning activities is an important component of implementing the requirements of the Ministry of Education's Quality Standards for Higher Education for International Students in China. It aims to provide education on the national conditions, provincial conditions, and school environment, as well as education on excellent traditional Chinese culture to international students studying in China. By participating in this cultural learning activity, foreign students were able to gain a multi-dimensional understanding of Anhui and its regional culture, expanding their learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.
