On the afternoon of June 7th, a delegation of ten representatives from Ethiopian universities visited Anhui Jianzhu University(AHJZU)for exchange and communication. Huang Xianhuai, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of AHJZU, met with the delegation.
Huang Xianhuai warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and briefly introduced the basic situation of the university and its characteristics in international education. He pointed out that the university is currently in a critical period of advancing to a higher level and climbing to a higher stage. It has always been committed to exploring new models of international exchange and cooperation, conducting comprehensive, broad-ranging, and multi-level international exchanges and cooperation, fully utilizing resources from all fields, and continuously improving the quality and level of international education at the university. The university actively responds to the national Belt and Road initiative and will take this opportunity to expand cooperation areas, further deepen the educational exchange achievements between China and Ethiopia, broaden the scope of school-to-school cooperation, and look forward to jointly pressing the fast-forward button and accelerating the pace on the journey of high-quality, connotation-based development. Efforts will be made to cultivate talents for Sino- Ethiopian international cooperation and work hand in hand to create a closer community of shared future between China and Africa. During the visit, the delegation had in-depth discussions with the university on scientific research, social services, and international cooperation, reaching preliminary intentions for cooperation.
Accompanied by representatives from the university's relevant units, the delegation visited the art and design exhibition, the State-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Building Health Monitoring and Disaster Prevention Technology at the School of Civil Engineering, the Key Laboratory of Building Structures and Underground Engineering of Anhui Province, the Huizhou-style Architecture Museum, and the University History Museum. They also explored the construction and usage of smart classrooms, as well as the operation and security of the integrated intelligent monitoring system.
