On November 25, a delegation led by Dr. Bakhrom Tulaganov, President of Tashkent Universityof Architecture and Civil Engineering, visited our university. Ameeting was heldin the 21st-floor conference room of Huifeng Building, Ziyun Road campusand attended by Huang Xianhuai, President of Anhui Jianzhu University, Vice President Li Zao, and relevant department heads from the International Office, Continuing Education College, and other departments.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. President Huang Xianhuai delivered a welcome speech, extending a sincere welcome to the guests who traveled from afar. He briefly introduced the history, current development, and academic achievements of Anhui Jianzhu University, highlighting the school's accomplishments in discipline construction, academic research, and its progress in internationalization in recent years. President Huang especially mentioned that the memorandum of understanding signed between the two universities this year was of great significance, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. The university is actively preparing to promote the exchange programs for faculty and students, and he welcomed high-level professors from Uzbekistan to visit and teach at the university, as well as outstanding students from Uzbekistan to study at Anhui Jianzhu University.
President Turalganov of TashkentUniversityof Architecture and Civil Engineering then addressed the meeting, providing an overview of his university's history, academic structure, and expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation with Chinese universities. He emphasized the importance of focusing on areas such as student exchange, academic research, and the transformation of research results, and hoped that both universities would achieve practical outcomes through collaboration.
Vice President Li Zao of Anhui Jianzhu University proposed ideas for cooperation in areas such as architectural engineering, structural seismic resistance, traditional cultural heritage protection, and training for construction-related talents.
During the meeting, both sides discussed various details and measures for cooperation, reaching a consensus. Both universities expressed their determination to use this meeting as an opportunity to comprehensively promote resource sharing in education, joint talent training, collaborative innovation in research, and the study of traditional architectural culture. They aim to contribute to regional connectivity and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road initiative.
After the meeting, the delegationtoured the university’s Hui-style Architecture Museum, Structural Laboratory, and the National Key Laboratory for Silicon Sand Resource Utilization.
